Why cryosafe?

What is CryoSafe and why now? This is a question I’ve been asked many times recently.

Having been involved in the LNG industry for 30 years, in the latter half I developed a fledgling LNG services business. From a telephone on a floor in an empty room, I developed the business to providing full O&M for multiple LNG terminals worldwide, commissioning many LNG facilities and FSRU projects.

I was fortunate enough to become involved in the LNG STS, FSRU and developing Small Scale LNG sectors from their infancy. During that time I learned a lot from some fantastic talented people and gained a wealth of experience. Much of that experience took the form of lessons in what does and doesn’t work, the hard way. That was the nature of attempting something new.

A couple of years ago I stepped away from full time in the LNG sector and the business I’d grown to start a new adventure and challenge in a completely different sector and market. This business has now grown and evolved and so with additional time I found myself looking back at LNG and the Marine Industry.

While developing the new business I did stay up to date with the LNG industry and provided some consultancy to support businesses I’d been working with for many years, mainly in assisting with troubleshooting and operational support.

My overwhelming thought during this time is that companies do not possess experience…….it is the individuals within each company that hold this experience. CryoSafe aim to make this experience available to our clients and support their businesses in a constructive manner. As part of my small LNG consultancy business I recognised that there was an appetite within the industry to develop in house LNG capabilities, this is a large part of what we aim to do, allow companies to enter the sector with confidence that they have the support and experience behind their operations.

We have some great talent onboarding with us and have been forging relationships with strategic partners to offer a truly exciting package.

We want to use the personal experience we have gained as individuals to enable our clients to develop and implement their own LNG, STS and Green Fuelling projects.
